History

As COVID-19 started in early 2020, things changed all around me. Panic began. There was little glimmer of hope and honestly it felt like a war. I kept thinking to myself, although unconventional, this indeed is a war. Winning it would take everyone coming together and doing their little piece towards the bigger and better good. It is out of this feeling that I started looking at my own resources to figure out how I could help. And before long I was making my rudimentary designs for something that remotely resembled a "face shield!"

The process was hard, painful, and in general frustrating. To complicate the matters further, Coronavirus cases in the US and at home in Georgia spiked. But there was a silver lining after all. Many people with far advanced design skills came forward and kindly shared their face shield designs with the general public. It was at this moment that I realized, this was meant to be. I was no longer perfecting my messy designs, but instead sifting through state-of-the-art design options. I had many to choose from. The one I picked was from 3DVerkstan. It was simple, yet extremely comfortable. I am immensely grateful to the guys at 3DVerkstan for their design. This project would not have even taken off had it not been for their design.

About Me:

I am a Sophomore in Forsyth County, Georgia. I go to Lambert High School, and designing is one of my passions. My parents got me a basic 3D printer last year as a Christmas gift. It has now opened a world of possibilities for me. I hope my Christmas gift helps bring cheers to many in my community.

Areen Nagle

One of the first designs, beginning of a long journey..

Getting there, but ways to go. Bolts sticking out make me look like

Statue of Liberty ;)

Countless tries...

not much success..

There we go!

Couldn't be happier!!!
